Since The Time of The Cat is the first time I’ve sent out a novel in serial form, I’m somewhat belatedly having doubts about the process. So, I’ve decided to ask for feedback from my subscribers (of whom you are one, thank you very much).
It occurred to me that sending one chapter a day might be too much for some people, and, indeed, it has resulted in a few people hitting the Unsubscribe link. I can’t blame them. My page has been inactive for so long that many people probably forgot they’d subscribed. Sorry for that. Now, they suddenly get a rather lengthy email daily. It probably seems too much, considering the level of spam most people receive.
On the other hand, a significant portion of my subscriber list has read each chapter so far. I find that encouraging.
I’m sensitive to email volume since I get hundreds of pieces of spam weekly. It becomes almost too much work even to try (they don’t always make it easy) to unsubscribe from individual senders. That means I won’t interrupt the flow of chapters with a post like this without a good reason.
Please take a moment and answer this one-question poll.
Thank you for your feedback! If most respondents want a more leisurely-paced schedule, I’ll adjust, otherwise, you can expect a chapter a day until the book is finished. (There are two additional books in this trilogy - don’t worry - it is not written with a cliffhanger ending. It only leaves room for the story to continue.)
If you are reading and enjoying the chapters, please consider sharing my stack with your friends. You can use this button:
I hope you enjoy the story!
